Summer Camp

KIP offer summer camp for ages 2-5 for an additional fee. Camp runs 6-8 weeks and features a program similar to the traditional program but with added emphasis on free play and outdoor activities. Parents may tailor the program to meet their needs by registering for 1 week or for all weeks. The program runs from 8am to 6pm M-F with the exception of the Fourth of July holiday plus one extra day preceding or following the holiday.

Below is a basic overview of the 2010 Summer Season. For more details about camp, including contact information, a list of what to bring, and information about enrichment programs, please click here in the news section.

2010 CAMP DETAILS

For summer 2010, KIP summer camp has added an extra week and will be in session from June 7 to July 30. The camp staff will be the familiar faces of KIP teachers and staff that work throughout the school year. Our staff/child ratios will remain as low as they do during the school year.

The program consists of camp favorites including crafts, sports and games, water play, music, computers, special guests, Shabbat celebration, indoor and outdoor play. Healthy snacks and lunch will be served every day. Each week’s activities will be based on an exciting theme featuring some of your child’s favorite characters.

Camp costs $125 per week for a 1 p.m. pick-up and $200 per week for a pickup anytime between 3 and 6 pm. A registration fee of $25 per session (deducted from your total bill) is due by March 26. For more information, please call the KIP office.

Themes for the 2010 camp sessions are:

June 7-11: Noah’s Ark
This week is filled with animal hunts, animal games and races, and rainbow creations. This year we’ll even try to build our own ark!

June 14-18: All Stars
During all star week, your child will play all kinds of games—indoors and out—and work on throwing, kicking, catching, jumping, and other athletic skills.

June 21-25: Alvin and the Chipmunks and Chipettes
Filled with music and fun, during this session the children will make instruments, play games, pretend to be rock stars, and create their own KIP Camp Idol.

June 28-July 2: Birthday Parties!
Who doesn’t love a birthday party? The fun culminates with a two-day birthday party for America. Leading up to all the excitement of July 4th, we’ll play birthday games, make party favors, and create special treats.

July 6-9: Off to the Races
Coming off the excitement of the holiday, we’ll run races of all kinds. Your children will run, jump, scoot and race cars, trucks, and anything else with wheels. Features daily contests and winners.

July 12-16: Winter in July
Beat the heat with our winter in July celebration. Make snow and build snowmen–even have a summer snow-ball fight!

July 19-23: Mickey’s Clubhouse
Come inside Mickey’s clubhouse and play goofy games, make crafts with Daisy, and sing along with Mickey Mouse. We’ll make mouse ears, go on a treasure hunt, and have lots of fun with our Disney friends.

July 26-30: Beach Bash
Grab the sand buckets and sunglasses and head to the beach! We’ll play in the sand with beach toys, build castles, create sand art, and much more.
