KIP offer summer camp for ages 2-5 for an additional fee. Camp runs 6-8 weeks and features a program similar to the traditional program but with added emphasis on free play and outdoor activities. Parents may tailor the program to meet their needs by registering for 1 week or for all weeks. The program runs from 8am to 6pm M-F with the exception of the Fourth of July holiday plus one extra day preceding or following the holiday.
Below is a basic overview of the 2011 Summer Season. For more details about camp, including contact information, a list of what to bring, and information about enrichment programs, please click here in the news section.
2011 CAMP DETAILS
For summer 2011, KIP summer camp has added two extra fun days and will be in session from June 13 to July 29. The camp staff will be the familiar faces of KIP teachers and staff that work throughout the school year. Our staff/child ratios will remain as low as they do during the school year.
The program consists of camp favorites including crafts, sports and games, water play, music, computers, special guests, Shabbat celebration, indoor and outdoor play. Healthy snacks and lunch will be served every day. Each week’s activities will be based on an exciting theme featuring some of your child’s favorite characters.
Camp costs $135 per week for a 1 p.m. pick-up and $160 per week for a 3:00 p.m. pick-up, and $210 a week for a 6 p.m. pick-up. A registration fee of $25 per session (deducted from your total bill) is due upon signing. Camp slots are available on a first-come, first-serve basis, so be sure to register soon.

Themes for the 2011 camp sessions are:
June 13-17: Pet Shop Week
We’ll take care of our favorite pets this week. Animals will be groomed, trained, and fed while the children learn about responsible pet care. Campers can bring their favorite stuffed pets to camp each day.
June 20-24: Rainforest
Let’s explore the rainforest this week. We’ll slither like snakes, jump like frogs, and create rain noises. The rainforest will also come to life in the KIP rainforest puppet theater.
June 27-July 1: Food Glorious Food
This weeks adventures are culinary in nature. We’ll create a variety of foods—edible and pretend. The children will also make chefs hats and create their own KIP cookbook.
July 5-8 (No Camp July 4): Books Alive
This week, our favorite stories will come to life. Each morning we’ll act out a different story and then pretend to be part of that story throughout the day. We’ll also create custom bookmarks and design our own picture book.
July 11-15: Circus
KIP will be a three-ring circus this week, and we’ll be sure to have lots of fun. Children will play with balloons, decorate popcorn boxes, enjoy carnival fun, and participate in preschool circus acts.
July 18-22: Sports Week
It’s all-star week at KIP. We’ll play a variety of games and create lots of cheers. How far can we throw or kick? How many baskets can we shoot? Can we dribble with our feet and hands? This is the week we’ll find out and create our own team memories.
July 25-29: Dinosaurs
During our last week of camp, dinosaurs will roam the halls of KIP. We’ll search for eggs and watch them come to life, create exciting dinosaur art from sandy paper, and maybe even visit dinosaur friends Barney, Dino, and Dorothy.
